Movie Info
This movie was not bad at all, not great but definitely watchable. Yes, it is another rookie cop movie so if you've seen Training Day and enjoyed it, then this will be right up your street. Towards the end, it gets slightly complicated as Jonas (50 cent) sets out to avenge his father's death. I'm also not sure why there was a need for Jonas to have two girlfriends (long term one and another 'given' to him by Joe Sarcone (De Niro)) Nonetheless, 50 cent is improving as an actor but he'll get no Oscars and I doubt very much if he even cares. This guy was born on the other side of the tracks, made it and is now living the American dream. Rubbing shoulders with Hollywood greats and living a life few of us can only dream of. I say this, because I am guessing some of the negative comments are from people who genuinely dislike the guy. Yes, De Niro was good but it is Forrest Whittaker who owns the movie. I enjoyed it a lot.
