The highly anticipated sequel to Overwatch is shifting its primary emphasis from Player vs. Player (PVP) to Player vs. Environment (PVE) mode. This shift allows developers to delve deeper into the narrative aspects of the original game. For those who thrive in PVP battles, fear not: Overwatch 2 retains a player-vs-player mode as well. The game will introduce Hero and Story missions, offering insights into various facets of the game's lore while providing unique rewards for players to discover.
In the second installment, players will once again meet their favorite heroes such as Tracer, Genji, and Reinhardt to name a few. All models were visually updated, as the designers wanted to show the passage of time between the two installments. Every hero’s skills will be adjusted and upgraded, including complete revamps. The developers want Overwatch 2 to be a refreshing sequel that will further explore the lore of characters we already know so well. There will be, of course, new heroes in Overwatch 2. During Blizzcon 2019 the developers announced a new hero, Sojourn. If you want to see some of the characters in action, you have to see the Overwatch 2 cinematic trailer!
Overwatch 2 features an extensive customization system. Level your character via Hero missions to unlock skill modifiers, making your favorite champions suit your gameplay style. Thanks to this solution, players will be able to fully explore their hero’s abilities and use them to the fullest. You’ll find a skill tree with different, powerful skills available only in the PVE mode.
