3 thieves plan to rob an old blind man thinking that it'll be easy money but the old man turns the tables on them. Despite the overwhelming feeling that the 3 young thieves deserved everything they got, I was routing for the blind man the whole time, this still manages to be a tense, terrifying and original horror thriller. Excellent performances from the unknown young cast despite all being completely unlikeable characters, with an excellent and terrifying performance from Stephen Lang, probably best known as the villain from James Cameron's Avatar, as the old man, a former soldier who was wounded and blinded in action. It might just be a sign of me getting old and perhaps grumpy and cynical, but I found it hard to root for 3 teenage thieves despite one of them obviously coming from a broken home with a young daughter who I felt had no right to be in the house in the first place and despite the old blind man turning out to be a complete psycho, I was on his side.
